Randy’s journey in the hospitality industry spans over 50 years, shaped by a passion for wine and a deep appreciation for the connection between food and its origins. Growing up on a farm in Central California, he developed a keen sense of the importance of quality and detail—values that would guide his remarkable career.

In the early days, Randy’s love for fine food and wine led him to open a coastal seafood restaurant in London. It was here that he began importing wines from around the world, collaborating with leading European sommeliers, and refining his craft. His dedication to mastering the art of wine earned him the prestigious Master Sommelier designation in 2005—a milestone that further fueled his desire to educate others.

Randy’s expertise was soon called upon at the Los Altos Golf & Country Club, where, as General Manager, he transformed the Food & Beverage program into a world-class offering. He orchestrated innovative member events, managed major renovations, and curated unforgettable wine experiences, leaving an indelible mark on the club. His rare achievement of holding both the Master Sommelier and Certified Club Manager designations set him apart as one of the few to reach such heights in the industry.

Now retired from Los Altos, Randy continues to share his wealth of knowledge, curating custom wine events for private clubs and businesses. His passion for exceptional service and education remains at the heart of everything he does, as he continues to inspire others in the world of fine wine.
